Remove away that marriage hearse:
Remove away that place of blood:
You'll quite remove the ancient curse"...

My nightmares are getting more intense
I can't really remember everything that happens in them but i remember the bad bits... like the snakes.. they're after me, they started off as two small short snakes that weren't any threat... but then they slithered together.. and grew.. bigger and bigger... their eyes melted and tainted with something i cannot describe.. they came after me, and I couldn't escape them no matter how fast i ran because they just kept on growing...

another dream sketch
I was walking along, and everything felt like liquid, like the air was water you know? although normal stuff didnt float if that makes sense.. and then this shark came down from the sky looking all angry and it circled me. But I couldn't see it. It was like I was in 3rd person watching myself but at the same time being myself- I knew I couldn't see it but I could see it there right in front of me! That's all I can remember right now...

Another dream sketch
There were a lot of dark shapes emerging from every corner and it was like i could pick up my surroundings and everything was connected... they kept saying "he's coming for you" and then I saw a tall pale figure with eyes as dark as the night.. and it was as if his pupils were two bright stars glistening in the darkeness. He was trying to talk to me, but I couldn't hear him...

Sketches from dreams
I've done some sketches from my dreams, I don't really remember what happened in them much just certain elements of what was in them, here's one sketch I did...
Fed Up.
Ok so my ex Sam is trying to get back in contact with me. He says he's changed and that he's dumped his "mates" (who were one of the main reasons I dumped him as they are selfish abusive thugs). But I don't know, I mean, I can't trust him you know? Surely I can't.. It's not like he changed when I was with him so why would he be any different now? and he's so f***ing persistent! I've TOLD him that we're over and there's no chance for us but he wont stop..
What am I going to do?
What am I going to do?

Horse of death...
Ok so long story short, (and also hoping that Kirk has received his letter by now!), a guy from Youtube replied to my mail idea. He suggested that maybe some people might be a bit wary about giving their address out because you could send them anything... you know like a horses head... yeah. So I thought that it would be a good idea to send this horse head to everyone who gave me their address as an example of just how mean and nasty I truely am :)
More Animation Experiments
So here are a few more quick animations I've tried out.. It's still all very rough around the edges I know but I'm hoping to get better! =]

More Sketchbook Doodles
Just a few more doodles I did due to boredom... Yeah, I couldn't be bothered to do anything big but I still like to draw.. I should really get some more paper!

Some more sketchbook stuff
This is my first go at drawing a wolf, it took quite a while as it is all pretty much made from short pencil marks, but I'm quite happy with the result.. except the eyes look a bit crooked.. It's so hard to get them right!!
This picture was done with ink, experimenting with small detail of shadows and how it effects the overall image.
This is a hummingbird done by pen. It was hard getting the right colours in the feathers as i had a limited selection of colours. But yes. I like hummingbirds, they're so pretty!

A few Beach Photos
Here are just a few photos of the beach I took when I was visiting Laura. I have a cannon eos 1000d and light was fading quite fast, but yeah. I quite liked the composition of this first photo, even though it's nothing special and a bit of a cliche for sunset type photos as you pretty much have half sky, half ground, a bit of hill silhouetted at one side... but I think the sea gives a nice 3rd element to this somewhat classical frame as it reflects the yellow/blue sunset.
I like this photo because of the texture of the waves in the sea, the foamy broth that more defines the waves. Admittedly, though, this may have been a somewhat more desirable photo if the sun was shinning strong down on the sea at this point. Being dusk it does make it seem a little dull..
Basically another 2 of the same as the first photo but there we go
If you can't tell... I rather enjoy the sea =]
(this one I tried to capture the bird flying across [you might be able to notice the black dot in the top left]. And that is probably the only different thing between this and the above photo =] )
Non blurry sea... Blurry sea, which one wins? you deside!

House Party!
Hello everyone
So I'm going to a house party tonight... I have no idea what to wear or what to expect but I'm looking forward to it! It should be good!
I will try and do some painting today but no promises. I was also thinking about trying out some animation- stop-motion animation that is. So depending on which one I get to first, that's what I'll post first =]

The Beauty of a Letter
I have been thinking recently about how electric we are in communication these days and although that's all good and well and instant, I think that the good old fashioned letter/postcard that isn't actually bills or junk mail is still a really lovely thing to receive!
Therefore, I am proposing to make people feel special and send all you lovely lot who follow my work something through the post! I would love for you to either message me on here, my Youtube page : http://www.youtube.com/user/alicewhite113 or email me at alicewhite113@hotmail.co.uk and a personalized letter will shortly be on its way to you!

It's been a while!
Hello everyone!
I know it's been a while since I posted anything up. I'm sorry! but you know how life gets busy for no aparent reason sometimes!
Just to update you, the last 2 life drawing type classes were cancelled due to the people that run it going down with this nasty sickness bug that's going around. I wont be going this thursday as Debbie's invited me to her house party so that's what I'll be doing this week.
However, after some internet troubles and fixing, I have started a vlog on youtube! You can follow me at: www.youtube.com/user/alicewhite113
I will catch up on posts soon! =]

Dotted Boot
This is an experiment I did using just dots, a little like pointilism. I only used pen (and pencil for the outlines) in order to create the boot image. It's fairly easy to do, simply clustering the dots close together for shading.

Pancake Day!
It's pancake day! Time to make some tastey treats and eat them!
I tried cheering mum up by making her some for breakfast... she didn't seem to appreciate them very much. Probably wouldn't have even noticed it was pancake day if I hadn't made any..
Anyway, today signals that Lent is coming (starting tomorrow). What is everyone going to give up? Sweets? Chocolate? Coffee? Smoking? All those things that are bad for you?
I was thinking that it would be a nicer thing that rather than giving something up, maybe I could take up something, something thats good for me, or helps other people out or something... I havn't quite desided what it could be just yet though. Maybe take up some exercise.. make cakes for the homeless shelter.. give away free hugs? mmm, I think the whole 'free hug' thing has been far too overdone in recent years. I'm sure I will think of something good though!

Installations
Here are a few pictures from the installations that were up. This first picture was done with ink in about 3 minutes so as you can see it's quite rushed and there isn't much in the way of depth. However I think doing quick sketches and drawings are good practice for if you have an image pop up in your head or see something while you're on the go, so you can record it down and then possibly rework it later if needs be. I also think that quick-sketches help you to develop your own artistic flare.
We were given cardboard frames in which to focus down on certain parts of the installation. This picture was done with charcoal.
This picture was done with acrylics at a slightly different angle to the one above it. I quite enjoy working with colour even though it can be easier to project the feeling of 3D with black and white as there is a limited pallet for shading- whereas with colour you have to think about shading in each colour you use as well. The section of this picture I like more is probably the bottom right hand corner, with the cloth draping over a pole.
In the next series of pictures, I was sat at one side of this installation throughout, first using the focus frame and purple oil pastels to draw what I could see...
...then we used multiple colours once again, each colour belonging to different shade of the real installation. As I mentioned before, I do enjoy using colours in this way as it makes the whole picture just more exciting!
Now we had to "zoom in" on an interesting part of the installation. I felt that the skull was probably the most interesting part of the installation that I was looking at as it had the most detail for different tones and shades.
As I zoom into the installation, I can use the colours for more detail, not only using more colours but more shades of each colour as well.
In this last picture, I collaged the backing paper in order to make the overall image more imteresting. Then used chalk and charcoal on top (for the gray bits I mixed them together).
